Automatically Migrate & Connect Content with Robotic Process Automation

Gartner Report: Growth in Content Automation by 2018

Generally, Gartner believes that our lives will become increasingly dominated by digitalization and in the enterprise, digital transformation will accelerate. One of Gartner’s predictions in particular caught my attention: the automation of enterprise content generation. In Gartner’s estimation, automated content will be around 20% for all business content by the year 2018. Gartner goes further arguing that not only will 20% of the automated content be computer written, but it will be totally indistinguishable from content written by humans. In a manner of speaking, Gartner believes that computers will pass the Turing Test in the near future.

Gartner is world renowned for its accurate predictions of business, as well as its conservative and measured approach to those predictions. Essentially, today for the first time content automation software is easy to adopt, configure, and deploy. According to Gartner, 20% of content generated by machines will include documents like market analysis, legal documents, new stories, and more. Gartner’s predictions don’t seem so futuristic. Yseop’s self-service software is already generating content for the global Fortune 500 on both sides of the Atlantic and the content generated by Yseop Compose is indistinguishable from the content generated by those companies’ employees.

Once programmed, Yseop Compose applies company best practices to scale, turning data into written content with the click of a button. If I were to make a prediction of my own, I truly believe more than 20% of business content will be written automatically in 2018.

Boosting Social Media Marketing Using Content Automation

People following your company on social media want a personal connection, not mechanically generated content cluttering their feeds and jamming their inbox! It increases your chances of success if there is a human being on the other side of every post that they view. Scheduling posts to go live automatically is an especially useful application for automation. A well-planned content calendar, with diverse content, may be the solution to lackluster relationship building and can increase brand presence and site traffic. Let’s look at an example social media marketing strategy and discuss how content impacts growth of engagement.

Posts meant to increase engagement should make up a significant portion of your total content. These posts should make up the core of your strategy because they are the content that people share with their friends and ultimately build your brand’s awareness. You can try content builders and schedule your posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, and even view analytics to measure the effectiveness of your campaigns. These posts are necessary and but generally less inherently interesting that engagement content. Promotional content should comprise about 30% of your posts.

Educational content is often neglected in social media marketing plans. More-involved efforts represent too large a time commitment, Curated content often edges out educational posts, but this is not recommended. Curated content might be used to fill spots on your calendar that have fewer scheduled posts, as well as increasing your number of followers.

Quick Guide: Content Automation Platforms

Content automation is the process of developing and creating content to build a brand, after which it is then syndicated and distributed across the Internet to create links back to a brand’s website and is also analyzed for its benefit. Various platforms exist to take control of every aspect of the content automation process in order to help handle those aspects of bringing leads to your business. Companies use content automation for lead generation, lead nurturing, lead qualification and gated content. Marketo’s standard package ranges from $1,995 per month for fewer than 10,000 contacts to $7,195 per month for between 250,000 and 500,000 contacts. HubSpot has more affordable pricing for small businesses, but greater limits on the number of contacts.

The basic plan offers three users and 100 contacts for $100 a month, with $100 more for each additional 1,000 contacts. The pro plan for $800 a month offers additional features for up to 1,000 contacts, $50 more for each additional 1,000 contacts. The enterprise plan offers even more features, for $2,400 a month, for up to 10,000 contacts, with an additional $10 per 1,000 extra contacts. Eloqua offers a basic plan for under 10,000 contacts with 10 marketing users for $2,000 a month. The standard plan includes the same contacts, with 50 users and additional features for $4,000 a month.

Pricing ranges from $1,000 to $3,000 per month, with additional fees based on the number of contacts. Small and large businesses alike can benefit from content automation as part of their marketing automation strategy.
