Also known as power system automation, substation automation is the act of using instruments and control devices to automatically control the power system. T involves controlling devices in power system by using data derived from an intelligent electronic device, automation and control capabilities within the substation, and commands from remote users. A substation is the collection of all devices that are part of the physical systems associated with generation, transmission and distribution of power. Substation automation usually includes all processes that are involved in power generation and delivery. It consists of controlling and monitoring of the power delivery systems within the substation as well as on the pole in order to prevent occurrence of power outages and also shorten duration of outages when they occur. All the devices, communications methods and communications protocols work as a system to perform the process of automation. Substation automation usually follows three main steps; data acquisition, supervision and controlling.
Antique vs. Vintage vs. Classic. Drophead. Familiar with any of those terms? If yes, you’re probably already a fan of Automotion and we look forward to welcoming you back. If no, make plans to drive to the Dells the weekend of May 19-20, 2018 to learn the lingo from some of the most passionate car folks this side of the Mississippi, a passion that often runs in the family. Classic rides will fill the parking lot at Noah’s Ark Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells. There will be music and food, car corral, swap meet and awards presentation too. “Hollywood on Broadway” keeps the Automotion fun going on Saturday night when replicas of iconic Hollywood cars such as Smokey & The Bandit, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, A-Team and Kitt, go on display downtown Wisconsin Dells. Get your camera ready and head downtown for a chance to photograph these stars of steel. All spectator parking is at the Tommy Bartlett Show lot, 560 Wisconsin Dells Parkway.
